The area surrounding the Campsies has many excellent walks suitable for all abilities all of which feature amazing views. As part of our Campsie Mayfest, a countryside walk is normally held annually with the Strathkelvin Ramblers however, due to the current COVID-19 situation, we are bringing some countryside walks to you virtually.
Our second of 3 countryside walks is the Campsie Glen Waterfall walk. To do this walk, you can park your car at the Campsie Glen Waterfall car park and walk through the stone wall, then take the path to the left to complete the 5 minute walk. Alternatively, you can walk from Clachan of Campsie by doing the Campsie Glen walk and going up the path to the right next to the information panel.
This walk features excellent scenery and a waterfall.
There are many areas to explore on this walk, however, it is a steep path so will not be suitable for all. Please also make sure to keep an eye on children and take caution with steep drops, water and rocks.
You can also explore the area around Clachan of Campsie which has more walks such as the Campsies that are featured in the first two pictures provided, shops, an art gallery and cafe.
